The Scottish Bloggers and Music Sites Award 2010 (The Scottish BAMS)

In the midst of all these Elba Annual posts where we are asking people what their gig of the year was, favourite album etc… we thought it was only right that on these pages we both show the results of the 2nd Annual BAMS (Bloggers and Music Sites) Album of The Year. Not only that, we’re gonna come clean and tell you who we voted for.

Organised, once again, by Peenko (87th in this year’s The List Hot 100!!!), the awards take in the opinions of a whole raft of people who run music sites or blogs. You can find the list at the end of the Top 30 albums.

I think Myself, Chris and Kim would all say that it was quite hard to really pin down our favourite albums this year to a list of only five but, we took the bull by the horns and for the sake of the BAMS we cast our indecision aside. The National’s ‘High Violet’ takes the gong for number 1 this year. An excellent album it is too. I’m sure it rose in some lists after their awesome performance at the Glasgow Academy last month.

Firstly, here’s the final BAMS list in full, from 1 to 30.
